About Therese & Ida

It was a December night in Seoul that we discovered our common interest. Therese was visiting Ida and we were walking trough the streets and passed a drawing on a wall. Immediately we started to speak about street art, and realized that we both have been taking photos of street art for a long time. We decided that we should do something with those photos, that people should see them. Soon, the name colours of the concrete was invented and the blog set up. Here, you can find our photos of street art we encounter where ever we are in the world.

THERESE: I have quite a number of hobbies, the most recent addition being photography. I would not call myself a photographer, but I do love taking photos. Lots of ‘em. A couple of years ago I discovered that I like travel photography a lot, however everyday moments and scenes should not be underestimated: inspiration is to be found everywhere at anytime. The ordinary of the everyday can become extraordinary. It’s all about the angle.

At the time of writing, I am a student at Malmö University, Sweden, within the field of Peace and Conflict Studies, Anthropology and Russian. However, in a couple of weeks I am heading to Istanbul to continue my studies. Pics from the colors of Istanbul’s concrete are to be expected in the near future.

IDA: I have many passions, but the simple common denominator for them all is the passion for life. Music, photography, writing, and peace work have become my best ways to express that passion. I don't remember when I started to take interest in street art, but for me, street art is a reminder of that passion for life. It is something in how people just refuse to accept the grayness and concrete and instead start to shape the city into what they want it to be.

I am currently based in Seoul, South Korea. Here I am working with all the things I love - music, photography, writing, and peace work. The street art I collect is mainly going to be from here, but also other places in Asia.
